MAPP gas is a stabilized mixture of various hydrocarbons, principally methyl acetylene and propadiene. It produces a flame temperature (2,976°C) second only to acetylene when burned in oxygen. It has a high heat release in its primary flame (inner cone) (15,445kJ/m3), slightly lower than that of acetylene (18,890kJ/m3) and much higher than that of propane (10,433kJ/m3). Its secondary flame (outer cone) also gives off a high heat release, similar to propane and natural gas. MAPP gas combines the qualities of an acetylene flame with a more even heat distribution. It burns hotter than propane and natural gas, and it can burn continuously for 3 hours under normal working condition. The welding temperature can reach 1350°C and the combustion temperature can reach 1300°C under anaerobic conditions.

BEST MAPP gas is the new generation of MAPP gas.
1. The heater warms faster than MAPP gas.
2. It can reach a higher combustion temperature (Max. 1300°C) than MAPP gas under anaerobic conditions.
3. Leaves no reside or deposits after combustion.
4. Operates normally even when outside temperature is very low and iced over. (Minimum Temperature: -20°C)

Packaging & Storage

MAPP gas is available in disposable steel cylinder (Size: φ75×280mm; Net Weight: 16oz). The standard packages are as follow: 12 cylinders per carton; 17004 cylinders per 20ft container.

Store in cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from heavily trafficked areas and emergency exits. Do not allow the temperature where cylinders are stored to exceed 125°F (52°C). Cylinders should be stored upright and firmly secured to prevent falling or being knocked over. Full and empty cylinders should be segregated. Use a "first in-first out" inventory system to prevent full cylinders from being stored for excessive periods of time. Post "NO SMOKING OR OPEN FLAMES" signs in the storage or use area. There should be no sources of ignition in the storage or use area. This fuel gas should not be handled or used in metals that form acetylides, such as copper, silver, magnesium or their alloys.
